Why Sometimes Simple Is Better

Outfit Details:

Vince Dress (old), Zara Bag, Headband & Shoes

Simple. This word often gets lost in a world of fast trends, quick buys and big personality pieces. But at the core of my personal style, lies just that, simplicity. I love pieces that have classic style and that you can wear over and over again with many different looks in mind. I can think of a million different ways to pair these pieces that I'm wearing above. Try this headband with a pair of jeans, white tee and blazer for a more casual look or pair this dress with your favorite faux fur jacket, pumps and a red lip for those holiday parties that are right around the corner. I try my hardest to avoid most trends and try to not buy pieces just because they're popular at that moment or time of year. I know what I love and I try to stick to that instead of buying into what everyone else is wearing. I feel like this piece of mind and style came from my mom who has always had such a feminine, classic style that has carried her throughout the years. She has always told me to buy classic pieces that you can wear year after year and she is right. I also think simple is better when dressing yourself. Having simple pieces in your wardrobe that you can grab in a hurry will save you a lot of time when picking the perfect outfit. I can't tell you the amount of times I have worn this dress. Everything from work functions to cocktails parties, it's always smart to have that little black dress (or two) hanging in your closet.

xx, Paige
