Happy Friday, friends! First, I just want to say thank you to everyone for all the sweet birthday messages. 27 is already off to a good start and I can’t thank you all enough for following along on this journey.
Now can we talk about this summer outfit! I forgot how much I love wearing rompers! I have never been a huge shorts person, unless I am just lounging around the house in my favorite Lululemon ones. However, with it officially being summer and temperatures rising I knew I needed to be on the lookout for some cute summer outfits that I could just throw on and go. I love how easy rompers are, until you have to go to the bathroom LOL and then it’s another story. But really, they are perfect if you’re trying to look put together in a hurry.
ALSO, you guys can probably tell that I love neutrals. A lot of my closet is made up of white, black, grey and blue jeans. I really wanted to make an effort to introduce some fun color into my summer wardrobe this year. I was shopping at Anthropologie and came across this romper and this jacket. I loved them both so I had the sales person put them in my fitting room. I shopped around and then went to try everything on. Little did I know that this jacket and romper combo would be so cute and fun together. I would’ve never thought of this look just hanging on the hangers but once I put it on together 😍😍. This look and color combo was WAY out of my comfort zone, I mean come on I’m mixing color and patterns here, but I am so happy I paired this together for a fun little number.
The best part about this outfit is that it can be worn so many different ways. You could pair the jacket with jeans and a t-shirt and some converse for a casual day of errands or throw it over any dress and/or romper that you already have in your closet. This romper, on the other hand, is perfect for those hot summer days when all you want to be in is a bathing suit but can’t. Throw it on alone or with a jacket over it and you’re good to go. This romper would be so cute with a jean jacket too. I’ll definitely be wearing that variation soon.
I would encourage all of you to go outside your comfort zone with your wardrobe because you just might be pleasantly surprised.
